The Lighthouse Project is our friendly Community Hub where we offer a range of meeting rooms for hire in our central Middleton Location – from an interview room seating up to 5 people, through a range of regular and larger meeting rooms, up to our fully featured conference room capable of comfortably seating 120+ people for training, meetings, and events in a stylish contemporary venue.ย
Our rooms are complimented by several break-out spaces and soft seating areas, an open lounge space suitable for events, a coffee bar and flexible refreshment options. Our rooms are all on a single level making them disabled friendly, and our offer is unique in Middleton,ย truly friendly and accessable for all.
If you are searching for somewhere to hold your meetings, training sessions, or community events, we might just have the right space for you. We have even hired out the whole centre on occasions in the past, so we’re open to ideas.

As a charitable organisation we are set up to bring benefit to our local community, and our mission and values are important to us, so, when you book one of our rooms you can be encouraged that you are not just renting a room, but you are also contributing to a wider work which helps and supports the vulnerable, isolated, those struggling with unemployment, housing, finances, debts, poverty, crisis, and other types of difficulty.
Through our community focused projects such as Middleton Central Foodbank, the Lighthouse Money Advice debt service, Lighthouse Pantry, and the Lighthouse Project itself, to name just a few.
Choose Your Room
All of our rooms are suitable for group activities & regular meetings, and can be hired by the hour, day, half-day, multiple days, or for regular weekly, or monthly slots.
Library Room
Interview Room
Suitable for up to 6+ people around a table, for small informal meetings, 1-2-1’s, interviews, and the like.
Potting Shed
Suitable for 1-2-1’s, interviews, and small informal meetings for up to 4-5 people.
Break-out refreshement area
Green Room
Our standard meeting / activity room suitable for up to 28 people in theatre style and 15-20 people around tables, subject to layout.
Orange Room
One of our Medium sized meeting / activity rooms suitable for up to 34 people in theatre style, and 20+ around tables, subject to layout.
The Hive
One of our Medium sized meeting / activity rooms suitable for up to 34 people in theatre style, and 20+ around tables, subject to layout.
Cherry Room
One of our larger sized meeting / activity rooms suitable for 50 people in theatre style, and up to 40+ around tables, subject to layout.
IT Suite
This is one of our specialist training / activity rooms suitable for up to 20 people at fixed PCs and 4-6 people using laptops/tables at desks.
Kitchen
This is our training kitchen which can be used for catering preparation, as well as practical cooking classes and demonstrations suitable for 6-8+ people.
Conference Suite
Our conference, training, and events facility is suitable to be used in a number of different configurations, and for different purposes, such as conferences, training, large group meetings, presentations, exhibitions, etc.
It is a purpose built facility with Wi-Fi, AV, multiple screen projection, lighting, and sound system capability.
The room can seat 120-130 people in theatre style, or around 90 people around circular tables, with 30+ in perimeter bench seating.
Coffee bar

Our kitchen can be used for catering preparation, as well as serving refreshments, via the coffee bar in support meetings, and larger gatherings.
We are happy for it to be used by external caterers, subject to discussion.
