1168h0027Are you interested in construction work but not sure where to start – try this Level 1 Certificate in Construction course is 10 sessions running over 5 weeks from Tuesday 15th March 2016 at the Lighthouse Project.

The course is free to attend for those on JSA or ESA programmes, and it is being delivered by local training company VSS Vocational Solutions.

There will be an initial assessment session on Thursday 10th March 2016, and the course will run on a Tuesday and a Wednesday, 15th-16th, 22nd-23rd, 29th-30th March & 5th-6th, 12th-13th April.

This is a great way to develop your skills and knowledge in construction and the built environment.
The units covered by the course include:

  • Starting work in construction
  • Preparing for an interview within construction
  • Health, Safety & Welfare in construction
  • Developing construction drawing skills
  • Asbestos awareness

Those who complete the course will also be able to apply for their CSCS card as part of the course.
