What does Inspire Middleton do?
Many people new to Inspire Middleton ask us what we do. In short we plant projects and activities, nurture them and watch them grow. Here is a snippet for now, you can look round the rest of our websites for more info.
Our work is about inspiring helping and supporting individuals, so that they can advance in life, by improving their circumstances achieving their potential, and once again becoming active within the community.
We operate through our drop-in community centre called the Lighthouse Project and the Middleton Central Foodbank both based in the Grade 2 listed Warwick Mill, and last year we supported over 30,000 visits to the Lighthouse Project.
We run lots of different activities and projects on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and we also host other organisations who run outreach sessions from our centre.
There is always something to do at the Lighthouse even if its just to have a cup of tea and watch the world go round. Our activities fit under a few broad headings; Employment & Skills, Social interests & activities, Health, mental health & wellbeing, and Families & Food. There is always something to do at the Lighthouse.
