Let’s get digital – Get online week 14th Oct 2013
Get Digital at the Lighthouse Project
Have you ever wanted to learn about computers and the internet but didn’t know where to start? Feel too old or think it’s too complicated? Been discouraged because people seem too busy or don’t have the patience to help?
Well don’t be put you off because there is someone at the Lighthouse Project who can help you get started.
We’re used to helping people learn all about computers and the internet, just call in.
We are open every day Monday to Friday in the Warwick Mill, close to Middleton town centre, between 10am-4pm, you can come for a flying visit or spend longer, enjoying a brew, chatting with friends and learn together. Our oldest learner is 87 so it’s never too late to get started.
During October we are also holding some special events for Get online week (Monday 14th – Friday 18th) to encourage people to start doing things digitally. There are lots of things to have a go at and it doesn’t matter if you’ve never touched a computer or been on the internet before, or if you know a little already. With a little bit of help you could be doing more of the things you do every day by doing them digitally – and it’s quicker and easier than you think.
Whilst you’re here you might want to do something else, there is always lots going on in the centre, card making, art and painting, photography, model railway club, cooking classes, knit and natter, our Friday games sessions, and much more.
We’d love to see you, why not call in for a visit and a look around.
